Lobes
(loabs)
Your brain can be divided into four major sections called lobes.

Each hemisphere of the cerebral cortex (or cerebrum) can be divided into four major sections called lobes. Each lobe is named for the part of the skull that covers it: the frontal lobes are behind the forehead; the temporal lobes are next to the ears; the parietal lobes are near the middle of the brain; and the occipital lobes are located in the back of the head. Some behaviors, such as vision or language, tend to be associated with particular lobes. But many functions, such as keeping something in mind, or imaging something, involve input from multiple lobes. Although the lobes may hold different functions, they work together to share and process information.
